Opportunities
If you are interested in helping out in the community
then please get in touch with Anna at the HCCA office
- tel. (0117) 929 1883 or e-mail admin@hotwellscliftonwood.org.uk,
or download our volunteers application form.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, use your
skills and acquire some new ones. We need people to help
with the following:
West Bristol Art Trail -for Artists
living and working in Clifton, Hotwells, Cliftonwood and
Spike Island. 18-19th October. We also hope to have community
events throughout and entertaintment on the evening of
17th. We welcome involvement!
CHASE: (Cliftonwood & Hotwells Action
on Sustainable Environment) We are currently devising
a Community Traffic Strategy to try and influence Bristol
City Council to make our streets safer and more attractive
for pedestrians and cyclists and less congested for drivers.
We need graphic designers, urban landscape designers and
artists.

Maintaining notice boards: The HCCA
has five notice boards around the area. We would welcome
help in updating and maintaining the boards.
Organising events / Fundraising Please

Website design: Help
us update and expand the site. Email us if you're interested.
Kick-Off Youth Theatre:
Takes place on a Mondaynight and needs helpers. The group
does a variety of activities from drama games to devising
and performing shows- usually lots of fun!
Traders network: an organisation
set up to promote enterprise and development and support
people running small businesses in the area. Meetings
are organised periodically to exchange contacts and ideas.
We are currently working on a tourist map and directory
of Hotwells. We need ideas for promoting the area and
encouraging traders to work in co-operation.

Trinity Day Care Service:
Based at Holy Trinity Church, they provide services for
people over 60 living in the areas of Hotwells, Redland,
Clifton and Cotham. If you are interested in volunteering
for them, please contact Mark Griffiths on 983 8878.
Street Reps:At present
some parts of Cliftonwood and Hotwells are better represented
than others within the Community Association. We want
to cover more of our area with representatives in every
street. Street reps listen to the concerns of local people
and let the HCCA know about them. They also provide a
way for the Association to get in touch quickly with residents.
If you would like to be a rep for your street or find
out more, contact Ray via the HCCA Office.
